Is Fall Really Around the Corner?

Ok, I have read two other blogs today that both said they can feel Fall in the air. I wanna feel Fall too! Waaah. Hard to believe that on August 1st the weather has that hint of change. One blogger's from Manitoba and the other from Kansas. Hmm. Summer's okay with me for about a month, then I want my cool weather back.

It's about this time in the summer that I am fall down in my duties of watering my flowers. Most of them are looking sort of sad. Probably because I'm too lazy to deadhead them to produce new buds. Working in the garden in early Spring excites me much more than mid-Summer.

Farmer's Market will be on the agenda for Saturday morn. At dinner we ate our last vine-ripened tomatoes from last week market purchase. My own tomato plants still are a couple weeks away from suppying us with yummy jewels of fruit. It's not usual for me to bring the salt shaker out to the garden with me to enjoy the warm tomatoes right from the vine. And, hopefully the local corn is in. I can make a meal of just tomatoes and corn.
